Marrakech → Casablanca by car
Allow 240 km and about 2 h 45 on the A7 toll motorway, via Settat. The road is straight and fast; traffic builds up near Casablanca, especially on Friday afternoons and Sunday evenings. For a flight from Mohammed V airport (CMN), a dedicated exit saves you from entering the city.
If you want to return the car in Casablanca, ask for a one-way rental before booking: all the details are on our "car rental Marrakech Casablanca" page, linked below.
Casablanca and its region by car
- The Hassan II Mosque and the Aïn Diab corniche: paid parking, with attendants in vests.
- The centre and its districts (Maârif, Habous, Gauthier): heavy traffic at rush hour; the tram is a good alternative for short trips.
- Rabat (90 km, 1 h 10) by motorway: an easy day trip.
- El Jadida (100 km) and the Atlantic coast: Portuguese city and beaches.
- Fes (290 km) to continue to the imperial cities.
Which car for Casablanca?
A small car is enough for the city and motorways, and it is easier to park. For long distances or a family with luggage, a saloon or SUV is more comfortable. In any case, bring change or a badge for the tolls, and fill up before the motorway.
