The ideal car for leaving Marrakech
The Tizi n’Tichka pass, the Telouet road and the last kilometres to the Agafay camps are easier in a raised vehicle. The boot also takes suitcases for the whole family.
The Dacia Duster remains the best value. For more comfort and an automatic gearbox, the Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson and Peugeot 3008 are excellent choices.
SUV or 4x4?
As long as you stay on tarmac, an SUV is enough. A 4x4 is only needed for real tracks, and it costs considerably more. If in doubt, go for an SUV.
