Medina riads: the car does not go to the door
Much of the medina is pedestrian or too narrow for a car. Have the car delivered to, or be dropped at, the nearest accessible gate, and let your host send a porter for the luggage. Ask your riad where to park: most know the nearest guarded car park.

Booking the car when you stay in a riad
- Give the riad’s name, address and a reachable phone number when you book.
- Ask the riad for the simplest pick-up point (medina gate, car park).
- Say what time you arrive: the medina is quiet at night but lanes are hard to find.
- Keep the agency’s WhatsApp number, handy to guide the driver.
And overnight? Parking and security
