Itinerary hour by hour

1. 15 h 00

   Leaving Marrakech

   Head for Lalla Takerkoust on the Tahannaout road, then follow the signs to your camp.

2. 16 h 00

   The Agafay tracks

   The last kilometres are dirt: drive slowly, as the stones can damage a city car's tyres.

3. 17 h 00

   Camel ride

   Most camps offer a ride at sunset, followed by mint tea.

4. 20 h 00

   Dinner at the camp

   Tagine and music under the stars. Many camps also offer a night in a tent.

5. 22 h 30

   Return

   When driving back at night, stay on the tracks you know and keep your lights in good order.

Our tips

• Check with the agency: standard protection often excludes unpaved tracks. A suitable option may be offered.
• An SUV with good ground clearance makes the tracks much more comfortable.
• In summer, go at the end of the day because of the heat.
